Application Developer - Specialty Insurance Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Developer to join our Specialty Insurance Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in developing and maintaining applications that support M&A activities, ensuring seamless integration of acquired entities, and driving project success. This role requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of M&A processes within the specialty insurance sector.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Application Development: Design, develop, and maintain applications that support M&A activities. Ensure that applications are scalable, secure, and meet business requirements.

  • Integration Management: Oversee the integration of acquired entities' systems and applications, ensuring that all systems are aligned and functioning effectively.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with various stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, and IT teams, to ensure alignment and achievement of project objectives.

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support for M&A applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.

  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all developed applications, including design specifications, user guides, and technical manuals.

  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure that all applications comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND CAPABILITIES

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as an Application Developer, preferably in M&A projects within the specialty insurance sector.

  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, C#, Python, or similar.

  • Experience with database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle).

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of M&A processes and best practices.

  • Experience in the insurance industry.

  • Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate).

LOCATION AND TRAVEL: Remote (USA).

Time Management – Ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment with minimal supervision. Must be well organized with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
